What is a process? A process is a series of steps that must be completed in order to achieve a particular result. A process map is a "snapshot" of a process. In business, processes are the things we do, the activities we perform day to day that keep our organizations going.

  to establish a baseline as a foundation for future improvements. (When process maps are saved in a process map library and are reviewed periodically, they serve as a foundation for continuous improvement.)
